eaRTH HOur 60!

Alright people, i know that it has been quite some time since i've blogged! Believe me when i signed in, i was in lala-land-LOST!

Alright so yes as I you'll know i will be sitting for spm at the end of this year and gawrshhh my life depends on it!! *pardon me*

So i cannot really feed my site with my writings and as such!

BUT, there's this one event that drew my attention. I simply couldnt resist but to blog about it! yeshhh; EARTH HOUR 60!

Trust me, when i first saw the group in facebook i thought it was a scam! I mean not even in my wildest dream would have i imagined that people would actually come up with such amazing ideas to unite all of us- the children of EARTH, to show our respect, love and care for her (mother earth).

The best part of it is that we all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations. When i say we i mean US-all of us! you, you, youh and definitely youh who's reading this!

So the first thing i asked myself was what is the relativity between electricity and global warming? I mean how on Earth can we save her from global warming just by turning off the lights? And only for an hour? can this work? So having the curiosity of a two year old, i started surfing the net and hoping what if just maybe I could find for a solution; an answer for all these questions jumbled up in my brains.... and yes..... indeed... look what i found!

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard!

earth hour 2009

*end of facts*

WOW! 1 billion? last year about 50million people participated in this event; and oh no i had no idea about it. But guess what this year; yes this year-2009, i am soo going to a part of this effort!

yes people who's going to save HER if it's not for us? Arent we her chidren? We are responsible for every single shit that we have caused her and yes we should be responsible to make things better alright not better but at least ease the problems little by little.

So what we should do?

easy...!!!

just put out those lightson the 28th of march from 8.30pm-9.30pm, light up a candle and uhmmm why not invite friends over to yourhouse and hide a bunch of stuff all over your house. then for all of earth hour, they have to find as many things on a list that they can. At the end of the hour, whoever has found the most stuff gets like a prize or somethingg!! haha =]

you know what that is like exactly what i will be doing! haha...
